The traditional Erlangen Carnival Irish Set Dance Weekend, organised by Andrea Forstner and her family, will take place this year on
Friday, 9th Feb. – Sunday 11th Feb. 2024
in the historic, baroque Redoutensaal theatre,
Theaterplatz 1, 91054 Erlangen.

There will again be three workshops with Pat Murphy, as well as three céilithe with the “Abbey Trio”. This year’s carnival céilí has the motto “Wild Things”. If you like, you can dress up to match, but it’s not compulsory; you can come to the other ceilis dressed as normal.
Céilithe:
- Friday, 9 Feb: Welcome céilí: 20.00 – 23.00 h
- Saturday, 10 Feb: Carnival céilí: 20.30 – 24.00 h
- Sunday, 11 Feb: Farewell céilí: 12.30 – 15.30 h
Workshop:
- Saturday, 10 Feb: 10.00 – 12.30 h & 14.00 – 16.30 h
- Sunday, 11 Feb: 10.00 – 12.00 h
Chill Out:
- Friday + Saturday after the céilithe: pub sessions in the “Kulisse”, directly opposite the Redoutensaal
- Sunday from 6 pm: “Chill Out” in the Erlangen restaurant “Zum Pleitegeier”
Participation fees for workshops & céilithe:
- Full weekend 100 € (cash on site)
- Partial participation possible (prices on request).
For lunch on Saturday you will find a large selection of different restaurants and cafés around the dance location within a 5-10 minute walk.
